Are EBC E-Bikes compatible with the MIK Racking System?
Yes. All new EBC E-Bikes with a front or rear rack will come with a built-in MIK profile onto the rack. Note that models C, R, and S comes with an MIK HD(heavy duty) profile rear rack. While all front racks and model J racks will come with the standard MIK profile. For legacy models without an MIK profile, the racks are still compatible but you will need an MIK carrier plate. This carrier plate will act as the profile for you to attach the adapter plate and any of your MIK accessories.
What is an MIK HD profile and how does it differ from a regular MIK profile?
MIK HD is a heavy duty, extra robust system, suitable for weights up to 27 kilos (59.5 Lbs). There are stricter standards to adhere to compared with the regular MIK profile. Does your MIK accessories come with the MIK Adapter Plate?
Yes, all of the MIK accessories sold on our website will come with the MIK Adapter Plate. The MIK Adapter plate will sit between either our built-in MIK profile racks and your MIK accessory OR between an MIK carrier plate and your accessory. This is what allows your MIK accessories to click into place.
What is an MIK carrier plate and when do I need one?
An MIK carrier plate allows a rack without an MIK profile to be MIK ready. You will need to attach this to your rack which will allow you to attach the MIK adapter plate that comes with all of our MIK accessories. An example where you would purchase this is if you have one of our legacy models with a rack that does not have the MIK profile.
Can I have multiple MIK accessories?
Yes, but it depends on the accessories you have and it requires an MIK Double Decker. If your purchase includes compatible upper and lower rack accessories you would need to purchase an MIK Double Decker to fit both MIK accessories on your rear rack. For example, if you have an MIK pannier bag and a doggy carrier, this adapter will connect the two MIK accessories.

MIK Carrier Plate
Not every bicycle has a luggage carrier with integrated MIK Profiles. Fortunately, you can easily make your bicycle MIK-ready yourself. Mount the MIK Carrier Plate on your carrier. And enjoy all the MIK benefits! Suitable for mounting on universal carriers (100-170mm).
MIK Adapter Plate
The MIK Adapter Plate brings the click between your bicycle accessories and the integrated MIK Profiles or MIK Carrier Plate. Some bicycle accessories already have a pre-mounted Adapter Plate. You can buy a separate Adapter Plate when this is not the case. With the MIK Stick, you simply click the adapter plate on and off.

The MIK Stick is a tool to easily attach and detach the MIK Adapter Plate to your luggage carrier.
MIK Double Decker
Mount the Double Decker on top of another MIK accessory. This way, you can easily make all kinds of combinations. For example, a dog basket or a shopping crate on top of your bicycle bags. This allows you to carry even more.
