Electric bikes come in a variety of shapes and sizes, making it important to find the right fit for your body. Let’s break down how to determine the ideal EBC E-Bike model and wheel size for you.
Inseam Measurement: Your Starting Point
The key to finding the right bike size lies in your inseam. This is the distance from the sole of your foot to your groin, measured along the inside of your leg.
- How to measure:
- Gather a book, a pencil, and a tape measure.
- Stand with your back against a wall, shoes off.
- Place a book vertically between your legs, against your groin, touching the wall (simulating a bike seat).
- Mark the wall at the top of the book.
- Measure the distance from the floor to your mark.
Matching Your Inseam to the Bike
Once you have your inseam, head to our website and check out the “Geometry & Sizing” chart at the bottom of each model page.
- Stand Over Height: Ideally, your inseam should be 2-4 inches longer than the listed stand over height. This is the distance from the ground to the top tube of the bike.
- Recommended Rider Height: If stand over height isn’t listed, use the recommended rider height as a general guideline.
