Electric bikes come in many different shapes and sizes… let’s talk about how to determine which EBC E-Bike model and wheel size are right for you.
You need to know the length of your inseam. Your inseam is the distance from the sole of your foot, along the inside of your leg, up to your groin. This is not the length of your pants but the inside measure of your leg.
Measure Your Inseam
You will need: a book, a pencil, and a tape measure…
The book method is the easiest to measure your inseam. Remove your shoes and stand flat with your back against the wall. Hold a book vertically between your legs, up against your groin with the book touching the wall. The book is a place holder for your saddle, so make sure it sits snug.
Holding the book in place against the wall, move away and make a small mark with your pencil on the wall at the top of the book. Measure from the floor to your mark and you’ll have your true inseam.
Take your inseam measurement and compare it to the “Geometry & Sizing” chart towards the bottom of each model page on our website. Your inseam should be around 2” – 4” longer than the stand over height noted in the table. If there’s no stand over height noted, compare your actual height (without shoes on) to the “Recommended Rider Height” measurement noted here. The stand over height is the distance from the ground to the top of the top tube running across a bike. In the case of a sloping top tube, we take the measurement at the middle of the tube.
