For legacy models (with the controller case in the back of the bike) or bikes with a controller inside the battery basket, opening the controller case will void your battery warranty unless the work is performed by Electric Bike Company technicians or authorized dealers. Customers may purchase their own controllers, but installation must be handled by approved service providers to maintain warranty coverage.
